Will I Still Look Like Myself? Natural vs. Glam Bridal Makeup
The most common fear before the wedding, and how we make sure your look feels like you, only more.

Almost every bride tells me some version of this: "I want to look beautiful, but I still want to look like me." It is the right wish. Your wedding photos will be on the wall for decades, and the best ones are where you look like the best version of yourself, not like someone else.
Natural doesn't mean no makeup
A natural bridal look still uses foundation, concealer, contour, lashes and lipstick. The difference is how they are applied: thin layers, skin that still looks like skin, colour that matches your own tones. On camera, a look that seems "barely there" in the mirror often reads exactly right, because cameras and lights flatten the face.

Natural, soft glam or full glam?
- Natural: glowing skin, soft definition, a lip close to your own. Beautiful for daytime and outdoor ceremonies.
- Soft glam: more definition around the eyes, sculpted cheeks, lashes and a stronger lip, still soft. A popular middle ground.
- Full glam: sharper eyes, more contour and a statement lip. Perfect for evening weddings and brides who always wear it.
A simple rule: choose a look one step above what you wear on a special evening out. If you never wear red lipstick, your wedding is not the day to start.
In the end, it is all your choice. My job is to make the look you want work for your face, your dress and your day.
Covering redness, acne and pigmentation without looking heavy
The secret is to correct only where needed. Colour correction neutralises redness or dark spots in small areas; the rest of the face gets a light base. That way the skin looks even without a mask. Prepare your skin calmly in the weeks before, and avoid new treatments that could cause a reaction.

Lashes or no lashes?
Individual lashes or a light, natural strip make the eyes look open in photos without looking false. Even brides who never wear lashes usually love them once they see the pictures. Dramatic lashes are a style choice, not a must.
How we find your look
- Bring photos of yourself where you love how you look.
- Bring inspiration, and a few looks you don't like.
- At the trial we build the look step by step and you see it in photos.
- If something doesn't feel like you, we change it on the spot.
Questions
Will my makeup look heavy in person?+
No. Bridal makeup is built in thin layers. It looks polished up close and right on camera.
I have sensitive skin. Can I still have long-wear makeup?+
Yes. Tell me at the trial which products bother you, and I will choose gentle ones that still last.
Should my makeup match my dress?+
It should match the style: a minimalist dress loves fresh skin and a soft lip; a dramatic gown can carry more.
Not sure which style is you? Send me a few photos and we will find it together.
