When Should I Book My Bridal Makeup Artist? (And What If the Date Changes)
How early to book, which dates sell out first, and what happens if your wedding date moves.
A makeup artist can only be with one bride on a wedding day. That is why the most popular dates are booked long before brides think about makeup. Here is when to book, and what happens if your plans change.
How far in advance to book
- As soon as you have your date. The sooner, the better.
- June, July and August weekends fill up right away, July fastest of all.
- Spring, autumn and weekdays leave more room, but don't wait too long.
Book your makeup artist soon after your venue and photographer. If you love someone's work, ask about your date before anything else.
What to have ready when you write
- Your date and ceremony time
- Where you will get ready
- How many people need hair and makeup
- A few photos of looks you love
If your date changes
Plans change, and that is fine. If your wedding moves, tell me as soon as you know, and we will move your booking to a new date.
The deposit itself is not refundable, also in case of a cancellation. It is what reserves your date: demand in the wedding season is high, and I turn other couples away for that day. It is paid after our video call or your trial, and without it the date is not reserved.
